Recycling

Recycling is a method to treat or process used or waste materials to make suitable for reuse. According to the article "Recycling" by Science Clarified, it states how recycling is very important because it helps the environment by reducing pollution. As a result, the more we recycle the cleaner the environment will stay. There are many reasons I agree with the article that recycling is important to the environment. One reason is that if we recycle then we can save a lot of money in production and energy costs. In fact the more we recycle the less new material we use, as a result the cost of everything will drop and less trash would be disposed. Another reason, recycling is important is because the more trash we throw away the more we don't reuse, the more the landfills we fill up, causing the landfills to cause pollution and bad odor in the air, affecting the environment. Above all, recycling helps provide jobs to the people in need. In fact, this is a start for our economy to grow out of unemployment, and start a better life to help the environment. In the article it states that we should "use the power of government to encourage or even require recycling” (Recycling). I agree with statement because the more we recycle the more money the government saves on trash disposal. As a result, if the government doesn't pay a lot to dispose trash the less the government is in debt therefore helping the economy. Lastly, recycling is important because the more we recycle the fewer landfills we have for example in the article it states "In 1978, there were roughly 14,000 landfills in the United States. This shows how recycling was a not a big thing back then in the 1900’s. In the year 2000, that number had dropped to just over 5,000” (Recycling). Recycling is now the new, fast, and clean method to reduce trash. In fact, look how recycling reduced 9000 landfills in 22 years. Therefore if we keep recycling it will help reduce our landfills and make our environment a better, greener place to live in.
